Air Freight Manager

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Air Freight Manager to lead, develop, and expand our Air Freight operations in Denmark. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage daily air freight shipments while also driving business development, sales efforts, and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage shipping assignments and oversee daily air freight operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
• Develop and expand our air freight business by identifying new opportunities.
• Lead business development initiatives to attract and retain clients.
• Drive sales efforts, build strong customer relationships, and negotiate contracts.
• Collaborate with international partners and ensure smooth logistics coordination.
• Optimize processes to improve cost-effectiveness and service quality.
• Ensure compliance with local and international air freight regulations.
• Making quotations for individual shipments, including estimating prices, selecting logistic providers and managing documentation.
• Invoicing and establishing/updating customer records.

What we are looking for:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in freight forwarding.
• A strong business acumen with a track record of driving sales and growth.
• Strong knowledge of international air freight operations and regulations.
• Experience working with freight management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
